FedEx will begin offering Sunday residential delivery and pass fewer e-commerce packages to the US Postal Service (USPS). FedEx will offer year-round, seven-day US ground delivery starting in January 2020. It currently offers Sunday home delivery in the United States only during the peak holiday season.
Tesla reports it is on course to deliver a record number of electrically powered cars in Q2 2019, beating the 90,700 it sent to customers in Q4 2018. The company produced an average of 900 Model 3 cars per day last week. According to IHS Markit forecasts, US total demand for electric vehicles, including hybrids, could rise to 1.28 million by 2026. IHS Markit forecasts that more than 130 models in the US market, from 43 brands, will offer electrified propulsion systems, either pure battery electric or hybrid gasoline-electric. Continue reading

The first graduating class of the University of Central Florida (UCF) Inclusive Education Services program will complete a program designed for students with intellectual disabilities this spring. Students in the program, which is part of UCF Inclusive Education Services, aren’t seeking bachelor’s degrees, though they take courses designed to prepare them for their adult lives and careers and receive a credential intended specifically for them.
Florida House and Senate budget writers have agreed to set aside $12.4 billion for the Florida Education Finance Program, the primary mechanism for funding the operations of school districts. House and Senate negotiators need to continue working out details of the education budget plan for the fiscal year starting July 1, 2019.
Disney workers who want to get a free education can now enroll at University of Central Florida (UCF), the state’s largest university and one that’s only a short drive away from Walt Disney World Resort. Disney and the University of Central Florida announced that this is the latest option for workers who may choose certain schools and programs to further their education paid upfront by Disney.
